Jenny Ryan joined the Florida Wildflower Foundation in 2023 after completing her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management (Nonprofit focus) from Eastern Florida State College. Prior to earning her degree, Jenny spent much of her professional career at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida working as an educator, interpretive guide and animal keeper. She has spent countless hours volunteering for various Central Florida nonprofits and currently serves on the board of an environmental research organization based in Melbourne Beach.
A Central Florida native, Jenny’s love for nature came at an early age. She spent much of her childhood observing the diverse flora and fauna in her own backyard, and at the library reading books about life sciences. Today, she spends much of her free time hiking, kayaking and camping in Florida’s magnificent state parks and natural spaces. She hopes to contribute to conservation efforts so future generations can admire everything our beautiful state has to offer.
