Mead Botanical Garden, 1300 S Denning Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789

The Florida Museum and the Florida Wildflower Foundation invite you to a special event at Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park to help support pollinator conservation. Pick up a free native plant and learn about how you can help our vital insect pollinators!

Visitors will have the opportunity to choose one plant from a variety of native species. Plants are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early!

While you’re here, don’t miss the chance to explore the sandhill and scrub restoration areas with the Florida Native Plant Society Tarflower Chapter; learn how you can turn your landscape into a haven for pollinators with Orlando Native Plants: An Urban Nursery and Grounded Solutions; and check out some cool bugs from the Florida Museum’s “Science Up Close: Incredible Insects” bug zoo.

Planting native wildflowers and plants in your yard can provide essential habitats and food for bees, butterflies, moths and other pollinators. Even small spaces, like a patio with potted native plants, can serve as crucial stepping stones, offering resources for insect pollinators as they navigate urban environments. Your individual efforts can make a significant impact!

Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the conservation of our pollinators and enhance your garden with beautiful native plants. See you there!
