Ponte Vedra Beach

Join us for a leisurely morning stroll along the dune line at the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve (GTM Research Reserve) North Beach Access to explore the wildflowers and other plants that not only thrive in this harsh sandy environment, but are the foundation that hold it together!

The GTM Research Reserve is a network of public lands that protects over 70,000 acres of coastal wetlands and uplands throughout St. Johns and Flagler counties. The northern beach area features some of the highest dunes in Florida, reaching heights of up to 40 feet. After a morning of exploring these magnificent dunes, feel free to stay and enjoy the beach or visit the Reserve’s beautiful Visitor Center, just 9 miles south on Hwy A1A.

Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing and shoes suitable for walking in sand. Sunscreen and a hat are also recommended.
